Obscura Digital, working in conjunction with Pacific Domes, is proud to have donated a 30’ geodesic blackout dome to the water protectors of the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in North Dakota, as they work to defend their sacred water source from the Dakota Access Pipeline.
The dome is being used in the Water Protectors Camp as the command and control center for their drone team. The team uses drones to collect and share vital information and images with the media, helping to bring this under-reported story to the world. It’s also being used for community meetings, trainings, gatherings and making connections.
“It’s an issue I personally feel passionate about,” said Obscura co-founder and CEO Chris Lejeune. “We’re proud to stand with Standing Rock.”
