For Coca-Cola’s 125th anniversary event, Obscura transformed the brand’s headquarters building in Atlanta, Georgia into a spectacular visual experience.

Canvassing more than 200,000 square feet and reaching 26 stories high, the two-hour show included evolving narrative and cinematic pieces and real-time technology to integrate social media.

The high-resolution projection was comprised of traditional and computer animation, special effects, live-action photography, and trompe l’oeil techniques. Forty-five projectors were used to cover the building’s surface, and spotlights on top of the building were synchronized to the projected animation.

“This is a historic moment for projection displays and a feat for Obscura” stated Travis Threlkel, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer. “By projecting on the entire surface area of all four sides of the Coca-Cola tower, we have achieved the tallest and brightest projection display ever seen in the world to date.”
