Nutcracker Under the Dome
For the 2013 holiday season, Obscura has transformed the Westfield San Francisco Centre’s historic dome into a state-of-the-art surround theater. An animated 3D light spectacular, inspired by the San Francisco Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker, swirls and dances across the dome’s multifaceted surface, telling the classic story with rich visuals and excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s famous score.

Corazon Under The Dome
For Corazon, Obscura brought the building’s dome to life with an immersive tribute to the City by the Bay. Showcasing iconic images and set to beloved San Francisco-themed songs, the show spanned decades, from the Gold Rush to the Summer of Love and beyond. The experience invited visitors and residents to take a sensory journey that was both mesmerizing and inspiring.

Illuminique Under The Dome
Illuminique was an animated story set in a 19th-century toymaker’s workshop. Through the magic of projection mapping, a cast of familiar holiday characters populated the dome’s interior, accompanied by music from a mechanical orchestra. For the show’s finale, the holiday brigade filled the dome’s interior to create a gigantic music machine—and an unmatched sensory experience.
